Hillary Clinton finally did it. She finally said something so stupid even Dan Quayle's jaw must have dropped. She recently said in a Democratic presidential candidate's forum that she has no problem taking money from lobbyists because they represent "real Americans" - including the same corporations who employ people. And downsize people,m and cut their benefits, and move all of the good jobs in this country to China, except those that are sent to India. Barack Obama and John Edwards were both appalled enough to call her on it.
Has this had a detrimental effect on her campaign? Of course not. A new USA Today/Gallup poll found that 48 percent of Democratic primary voters - nearly a majority - plan to vote for her in this coming winter's primaries and caucuses.
Apparently, Republican primary and caucus voters don't have a lock on stupidity.
There was a debate among the Democratic candidates in Chicago tonight sponsored by the AFL-CIO. You know, a union that would obviously have trouble with the kind of corporate lobbyists Hillary so passionately defends. I hope Obama and Edwards wiped the floor with her.
