Meet The Brother

Readers of my blog are aware that I'm friends with Therisa Barber, the Ballerina Mime of Central Park. Well, guess what - today I met her brother! :-D

Matthew Barber is a flight operations officer for Silverjet, a small business class airline based in London. He was in my neck of the woods for training, and I met him at a local hotel. We met after having exchanged e-mails, and we got on famously, as he, his sister, and their fellow Brits would put it. We had a good time over coffee talking about various subjects, and we hope to see each other again the next time he's back in the area.

I hope to meet the rest of his family, too. If anyone had told me I would not only befriend a British street performer in Manhattan, but her brother too, just a few years ago, I probably - no, definitely - wouldn't have believed them.

It's always nice to make friends. These same friends help keep my spirits up at times like these. :-)
