It seems the home turf of my British ladyfriend Therisa is in the news a lot, and not for the better. On Saturday, an earthquake hit her home county of Kent, although her hometown of Chatham was spared damage. (It mostly affacted Dover.) Now, it turns out, a shopping mall near Chatham was the target of a foiled terror plot.
Five people in Britain were found guilty yesterday in a terrorism trial for plotting to blow up several targets in the country, including the Bluewater shopping mall. The Bluewater shopping mall is the largest indoor shopping mall in the United Kingdom and possibly the largest mall in all of Europe. It's located in Dartford, just west of Chatham. I'm beginning to think that Therisa is safer in New York, even after 9/11. :-O
