All right, you're wondering, what do I have against Hillary Rodham Clinton?
As a leftist, I should be the last person to complain about her as a possible presidential nominee, and though it must certainly surprise and amuse my Republican father to read this, I simply don't like the woman. She's too conniving and too evasive, especially on the war in Iraq, the most important issue of our time. She avoids many other controversial issues to avoid alienating anyone, and yet she polarizes people in the process - kind of like her husband. When she does speak out forcefully on an issue, it's usually a meaningless issue like parental controls on television sets. Plus, she seems to believe she's entitled to the Presidency because her husband held it.
It is this last point that returns me to my original reason for opposing her presidential candidacy. After having two Bushes serve as President before and after Bill Clinton, the last thing we need is another Clinton in the White House to continue a sense of dual dynasties in control of the White House. Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton . . . Jeb in 2016? Stop all this nonsense already!
I don't oppose Mrs. Clinton because she's a woman, a point I've made over and over and over, but I'm sure several of her supporters - many of them Westchester County yuppie women who can be as strident as she is - will be unconvinced of that. I'll make a deal with you, ladies; you accept the reasons above for my oppostion to Hillary on faith, and I'll pretend you didn't make up the spelling "womyn!" :-p
