Anne Bancroft, one of America's finest actresses, has died of cancer at age 73. Her roles include that of Helen Keller's teacher Anne Sullivan in The Miracle Worker, the harried wife of Mel Edison (Jack Lemmon) in The Prisoner of Second Avenue, and of course, Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate. Her widower, Mel Brooks, regarded her as a gift from God, and so did many movie fans. Anne Bancroft will indeed be missed. RIP. :-(
