State Of What Country?

George W. Bush is set to deliver his State of the Union speech, in which he will likely concentrate more on the state of Iraq. (When told he had to give a State of the Union address every year, did he say, "But I'm not a governor now, I'm the President - I'm not concerned with just one state of the Union anymore?") He's likely to tell everyone how hunky-dory everything will be in Iraq if we just "stay the course," and then he'll scare the Shinola out of us to get us to agree to his Social Security "reform" program. Fortunately, few people will be paying attention. Unfortunately, it'll be because they'll be watching MTV or on the Web trying to get the latest information on the Michael Jackson trial. :-O
