American Idol Mark Four

The fourth season of "American Idol" began a couple of weeks ago, and the ratings expectations were actually low, relatively speaking; it seems that Fox bigwigs and the show's producers expected a leveling off of interest, and perhaps even a decline. Instead, the show's ratings are higher than this time last year - meaning that the three major networks are once again left fighting for second place in the 8PM (Eastern Time) hour Tuesday night, a battle CBS's "NCIS" always seems to win. NBC merely showed an outtakes special tonight.
So, if Damon Wayans and George Lopez, whose ABC sitcoms are opposite "American Idol" this year, are reading this blog, I have the same advice for both of them: Get a new time slot, or risk cancellation - and start sending out your resumes! :-O
