Ronald Reagan: 1911-2004

Former President Ronald Reagan has died at 93.
While I was not a supporter of Reagan's policies - far from it, in fact - I will take this opportunity to say that it's a shame, and that those of us who opposed Reagan's conservative doctrine should hold our tongues for the immediate future, rather than criticize his legacy. We should allow a mourning period and put our differences with the right over Reagan aside for a while. Besides, when you think about it, wasn't it in poor taste for Dorothy Parker to quip, right after Calvin Coolidge's death in 1933, "How can they tell?"
