Bill Richardson, the former future Commerce Secretary, is out of contention for that post. Apparently some of Richardson's staffers were involved in a pay-to-play scandal in New Mexico, where Richardson is governor, and now he has stepped out to allow incoming President Barack Obama to focus on the economy without any distractions, revealing his ignorance of the fact that the Republican party hasn't completely gone away. Also, Richardson has given Obama a new headache - now Obama has to choose another Commerce Secretary!
