We finally got a new memory chip for our computer this week, and my mother and I installed it this evening. The difference is amazing. McAfee updates that had once taken an hour to load now do so in a couple of minutes. McAfee protection doesn't fail now. Videos load more easily. I can now look at MySpace pages with pimped profiles. I can load applications! I could go on. . . .
Now that I have more memory, I guess I have no excuse to stay on my computer all night anymore. High speed Internet is now truly high speed. I'm happy, I'm content, and I'm tired from getting carried away with all the surfing and viewing of rock videos on YouTube I just did! Okay, there's still one excuse to stay on all night. . . . ;-)
My mother and I installed the chip ourselves, without any help from a computer technician. This makes Circuit City's announcement that it's going out of business seem all the more ironic . . .
