Some Change!

I thought we've been spared. Although Hillary Clinton came extremely close to getting the Democratic presidential nomination, her loss to Barack Obama suggested that we'd avoid further drama from both Hillary and her husband, Bill Clinton. Then it turns out that Obama wants her as Secretary of State, and the Clintons are demanding all sorts of conditions and make a lot of fuss and bother over her decision to accept it. Meanwhile, Obama has apparently chosen empty rumpled suit Tom Daschle to be Secretary of Health of Human Services and even wants Secretary of Defense Robert Gates to stay on ad interim.

This is Obama's idea of change? It appears that Obama feels he needs seasoned veterans to instigate the change he wants, including more domestic spending, infrastructure programs, and yes, health care reform.

He'd better be right about all this.
