Bad Numbers

Did you see those numbers dropping? Big business is in a panic! The titans of what passes for our economy these days are trying to avoid a major meltdown!

I'm not talking about the Dow Jones average. I'm referring to John McCain's poll numbers.

Meanwhile, speaking of the stock market, George Walker Bush has insisted that he's on the issue, working to solve the problem in his capacity as President, because after all, solving problems is what he says the American people sent him to the White House to do. The American people didn't make him President, of course; the Supreme Court did.

Ponder that if it gets to the point where a recount is demanded in Ohio (or when you get no more than .0000125 percent interest in your savings account, assuming your bank is still in business).
