The Jesus and Mary Chain

Author Dan Brown was found not guilty of plagiarism in a London court over the question of whether or not he stole details from two nonfiction books from British authors in writing his novel "The Da Vinci Code," a mystery which used the idea that Jesus and Mary Magdalene married and begat children whose bloodline continues into the present. That must come as a relief to the producers of the movie version, starring Tom Hanks and French actress Audrey Tautou, who thought they'd have to delay the movie's May 19 opening if the court case continued. Of course, the British plaintiffs can always appeal . . .
In the meantime, the movie version of "The Da Vinci Code" looks to be on track for its planned release, and Audrey Tautou might break the curse of French actresses who fail to have the Hollywood breakthrough they seek. Remember Isabelle Huppert in Heaven's Gate? Oh, that's right . . . of course you don't! Who actually saw that movie? :-D
