Icon Issues

The furor over cartoons in a Danish newspaper depicting the Prophet Muhammad has gotten rather volatile. I know it's considered blasphemous to show any kind of visual representation of the Prophet, but aren't offended Muslims only doing themselves a disservice by calling more attention to the cartoons? Had they not done so, maybe other European newspapers would not have bothered to publish them. At least we in America don't have to worry about offending people with provocative representations of religious figures . . . Oh, wait, I forgot about "The Book of Daniel."

And to Kanye West, who posed as Jesus on the cover of Rolling Stone . . . boy, are you in trouble! :-O
