Vital Unimportance

Americans really need to pay far more attention on important issues that affect our lives. Here's a sampling of issues of vital unimportance that have captivated us for the past decade and change - the O.J. Simpson trial, the Monica Lewinsky affair, Terri Schiavo, Scott Peterson, and intelligent design. Question: If these issues were ever really socially relevant, how come Cal Thomas has discussed them in his column?
