A thought just occurred to me, and it frightens me . . .. If George W. Bush is assassinated by a black lesbian, Dick Cheney drops dead of a heart attack upon hearing the news, and Dennis Hastert dies in a car crash en route to the Capitol, Alaska senator Ted Stevens, the president pro tempore of the Senate, will become President. Has anyone seen Stevens in the Senate chamber or conduct a hearing? He's crazy! The normally irrational Senator Tom Coburn (R[of course]-OK) calmly asks Stevens to consider giving back that money for a bridge to an island in Alaska populated by only fifty people, in the interest of reducing the federal budget deficit, and he spins out of control like a broken top! Right on the Senate floor! And speaking of tops, Stevens almost blew his while chairing a hearing on oil prices in a disagreement with another senator. This is a man who could be running the war on terror?? :-O
