Some more thoughts about Olympic swimming - Two swimmers named Michael Phelps and Natalie Coughlin are big contenders for Olympic medals in Athens. I don't know much about Miss Coughlin, but this Phelps kid, I understand, is in the running to match Mark Spitz's 1972 total of seven gold medals in a single Olympiad.
Even more surprising is that Phelps is not from California or Florida. He's from the Baltimore area. Al-RIGHT! After years of domination in this sport by Sun Belt swimmers, we got a kid from the Northeast who's ready to take on the title of the King of Chlorine! Go get 'em, kid! :-D
The Olympic swimming trials are being shown tonight on NBC. Check your local listings for the time. :-)
