WTF, PBS?

Remember that assassination of a judge in Wisconsin that took place on Saturday?  It was all over CNN and MSNBC, and given that it involved a far-right extremist who wanted to take out elected officials of both parties?  PBS News reported nothing about it that evening on its weekend report.  All right, I thought, Geoff Bennett only has half an hour, and the PBS News staff probably couldn't get a story about the assassination up and running in time.  Certainly there would be something about it on its Sunday edition.  Nope - nothing.  Okay, they're probably preparing a full, detailed report about the assassination on Monday's edition of the PBS NewsHour.

Not one word.  But they did have time to talk about that tennis player Rafael Nadal.

And maybe they'd have more time to talk about the Wisconsin assassination if they didn't have stories about art that really isn't art.  Or pledge drives.

Come on, PBS - get your act together.  If I want to watch a news broadcast that doesn't acknowledge felonious far-right activities, I'll watch the Fox News Channel.
