The January 6 House committee in Washington is closing in on Donald Trump's role in the insurrection (including an illegal but unsigned order to seize voting machines), the New York State Attorney Gnenral Letitia James and new Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg are in hot purist of Trump for his many business crimes, and Atlanta District Attorney Fani Willis has conceived a grand jury to investigate his efforts to try to overturn the election in Georgia. You'd think Trump was about to get his just deserts.
You'd be wrong.
At yet he walks free.
Now is the time for all of those investigating Trump to redouble their efforts. Trump has never had to account for anything he's done wrong in his life, and it's now more important than ever to stop him before he can come back in 2024 and muscle his way back into the White House again and turn America into a right-wing dictatorship in which his opponents have to fear for their lives. Fani Willis already does; since Trump's rally, she's asked for protection from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. And Trump could succeed in regaining the Presidency, given President Biden's current poor standing in the polls.
I still have trouble believing that a real estate developer could be the biggest threat to American democracy. But then, Hitler was a watercolor artist . . . and he unleashed the Holocaust. 😱
