In my post about Texas governor Greg Abbott repealing face-covering rules in his state, I reported that county and municipal governments in Texas could still enforce face-covering mandates locally. Not true; Abbott will have none of that. Local and chain businesses, though, can require face coverings to enter their establishments. I should have known that Abbott wasn't that accommodating. After all, he took away mail-in ballot boxes in the 2020 elections. (The error has been corrected.)
