One More Mueller Time

Now that Robert Mueller has spoken abut his report on Trump and resigned as special counsel, let's quickly review a few facts.
Mueller looked for evidence that Trump was involved in criminal wrongdoing but the big story here is Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. elections - and a lot of Trump's alleged criminal acts have nothing to do with Russia.  The Mueller investigation was meant to highlight the lengths at which the Kremlin sought to help Trump and demoralize the Democrats (although Debbie Wasserman Schultz got a head start on the latter).  And Mueller found several examples of Russian malfeasance that must be taken seriously, whatever happens to Trump.
Also, whatever happens to Trump is contingent on the facts Mueller did find out about the Donald that led to what he couldn't find out about him.  In other words, he can't say the President is guilty or innocent of anything; but the trail leading to the truth is embedded in the facts he does have.  That's why Mueller said the report speaks for itself.
Impeaching a President is no painless task for anyone, and the Democrats have to be certain they have enough support from the public and enough evidence against Trump before they can indict Trump.  When will they have enough support and evidence?  How and when do they open impeachment proceedings without stirring the hornet's nest that is the Trump base and risking a backlash against Democratic candidates in the 2020 elections?  Those are things the Democrats, frankly, have to figure out for themselves.
