Juno Rising

The Weather Channel has named the next winter storm of 2014-15 Juno, and it promises to be more furious than the queen goddess herself!
My area, relatively speaking, is getting off easy - a minimum of one foot of snow, possibly two feet, with winds averaging 30 miles an hour with occasionally higher gusts.  But hey, at least there'll be no ice!
Will my area get a lot of blackouts? Hard to say.  Our electricity has stayed on through some of the biggest blizzards of recent memory, but I prefer not to guess this time because all of the adjectives you don't want to hear in any weather forecast ("historic," "major," et. al.) are being bandied about for this one.  Who knows?
I know this much.  Not too long ago, forecasters were saying that this would be a harmless clipper that would be little more than a nuisance.  It only validates my theory that whenever snow is predicted for a date a week or so out, the forecast gets progressively worse as the appointed date draws nearer.  But this progressively bad?
I suppose you could say this is payback for the storms that missed my area last March, though the areas that got hit by those same storms aren't exactly getting off scot-free here either.  In fact, the Boston area, hit by a huge storm following the first day of spring 2014, will get hit worse than we'll be by Juno.
The month of June, by the way, is named for the Roman queen goddess.  This storm already has me looking forward to June.  I should be back here before then.
