A snowstorm that is definitely going to be a blizzard for New England and possibly also for New York and its environs - that includes my environs - and while Winter Storm Nemo - as the Weather Channel is calling it - may stop me from going on the Internet, it hasn't stopped me from blogging. I have posts scheduled to be published over the weekend (including a record review) in case the lights go out.
As for a possible blackout . . . well, I've been through worse winter storms, and my house has lost electricity in a snowstorm only once, about three years ago. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I only have to put up with a lot of shoveling - fifteen inches of accumulation, according to some forecasts. My mother and I are pretty much prepared with all the rock salt and sand we can store. And we have pretty good shovels.
So here we go, in the first big Northeast snowstorm in two years . . .
