In my post about the storm the Weather Channel is calling Nemo, I wrote that my electricity went out only once in a snowstorm, and that Nemo would be the first snowstorm in my area in three years. I meant to say "winter snowstorm" in both cases. I wasn't counting the October 2011 snowstorm, which also took out my power, as that took place in autumn, and I expected that storm to cause a blackout - because of the heavy snow on top of trees still with their leaves. But power failures in snowstorms that occur betwen December and early April, when the deciduous trees are bare of their leaves, are very rare. At least, they've been rare for me in those cases.
All right, now it's time to wait out the storm. As noted, I have to blog entries scheduled to be published over the weekend, so my blog will still be up and running, even if I'm not. Take care.
