Yesterday I had to get back on the Internet after having gotten off only a couple of hours earlier, only to get an error message. It turned out to be a statewide (!) outage on the part of my provider. Good one! I figured it would last several hours, if not a couple of days. It ended up lasting less than an hour. It was a rare moment in my life that an inconvenience that I expect to last a long time lasts only briefly. Usually it's the other way around!
