Dick Cheney was recently criticized for heralding Donald Rumsfeld as our greatest Defense Secretary ever. Gee, that actually sounds modest of him. Remember, Cheney is a former Secreatary of Defense.
Meanwhile, Bush says that he realizes the message of the election - to try even harder for victory in Iraq. The voters sent him a message, but he didn't listen!
As for whether or not to add more troops there, everyone else, especially incoming House Armed Services Committee chairman Ike Skelton (D-MO), agreed that such action should have been taken when Baghdad first fell over three years ago. Now it's too late. :-O
