George W. Bush is campaigning for Republican congressional candidates today in Kansas and Nebraska. Kansas and Nebraska? States that have been reliably Republican since they joined the Union in the 1860's (and Democratic Senator Ben Nelson in Nebraska is favored to win a second term anyway)? The GOP is in that much trouble.
