The CW and the 2006-07 TV Season

So here's what to expect on the CW, or Cee-Dub, network;
Many returning shows seem to be from the old WB network - "Smallville," "Gilmore Girls" and "Veronica Mars" are the most obvious returnees - but UPN's "Everybody Hates Chris" will be back as well. That's the good news. The bad news is that it airs on Sundays at 7:00 P.M. this fall, opposite "60 Minutes" on CBS. Even without Mike Wallace, that venerable newsmagazine will remain a juggernaut. And I'll have to remember to tape Chris Rock's show while "60 Minutes" is on; heck, I can't even remember to watch it in reruns on Thursday nights now! And I missed several episodes of that show.
Bad news for fans of sitcoms starring female recording artists: the sitcoms starring Reba McIntire and Eve were downsized in the UPN/WB merger. Pity. Well, maybe not . . .
Nothing on the Fox schedule interests me, except maybe Brad Garrett's new sitcom "'Til Death." I say maybe because Garrett appears to be playing a meaner version of Robert Barone. . . with a touch of Ray Barone's less appealing side (his more obvious one). Not too sure about this sitcom.
