Supreme Issues

Both conservatives and liberals seem to be mildly disappointed with Bush's choice of Harriet Miers to fill the shiksa seat on the Supreme Court, so I guess she should be alright. We'll see how she does in the hearings.

Meanwhile, rising gas prices are causing falling SUV sales. Good riddance to bad rubbish. This probably won't help gain support in the U.S. for more mass transit, but it might at least allow more small cars to be sold here. Like, maybe, the Volkswagen Polo. I'll take one in blue, please. ;-)
