Now What?

Now that John Roberts has just been confirmed as Chief Justice, it just occurred to me. . . . He's only ten years older than I am. He could be Chief Justice well into my own old age! :-O

No word on who will replace O'Connor yet, but everyone's waiting.

Meanwhile, Senate Republican leader Bill Frist is under investigation for stock transfers, and House Republican leader Tom DeLay is under indictment for alleged improprieties in Texas. On top of this is anger at Bush for Iraq and Hurricane Katrina. The GOP is reeling. Could this all mean a sea change in American politics? Well, it all depends on the Democrats.
