The Latest Iraq News

Meanwhile, Iraq . . ..  The New York Times reports that religious parties are winning the vote count there, and any constitution drawn up between now and this fall will likely lean toward theocratic government, making Iraq more of an Islamic republic - like Iran. Well, what did you expect - the religious Shiite Muslms are a majority in Iraq! This is a direct result of Bush's war for democracy. He obviously never heard of the law of unintended consequences.
If Iraq does become an Islamic republic, it'll be even harder for country singer Alan Jackson to tell the difference between the two countries (he admitted his inability to do so in his 9/11 song).
