Epiphanies

Are you dreaming of a white "Little Christmas?" We got some snow today, today being the Feast of the Epiphany. Or, as my grandmother called January 6, "Little Christmas." The Epiphany, following the twelve days of Christmas (yes, there really are twelve days of Christmas, it's not just a song!) marks the anniversary of the coming of the Magi as the first manifestation of Jesus to the Gentiles.
Also today, the Electoral College votes from the presidential election are going to be counted in the presence of both houses of Congress. Representative John Conyers (D-MI) is planning to challenge the results from Ohio on grounds of voter irregularities and fraud in heavily Democratic and/or minority districts. He needs the support of only one senator to contest the Ohio balloting. Will any one of the 44 Democrats - or Vermont senator James Jeffords, the Senate's lone independent - see the light and join Conyers? Will one of them have an "epiphany?"
Highly doubtful. :-(
