So Bush is going through various African countries on a goodwill trip. Well, at least he knows now that African states are individual countries. Basically, what he's doing is promising bits of aid to Senegal, South Africa, and other nations to look like a generous benefactor and hopefully make Africans forget that he led a war against Iraq under dubious pretenses. That phony report about Saddam Hussein buying uranium from Niger, which embarrassed the Third World before Bush admitted it wasn't true? That? Pfft! That was a misunderstanding! Yeah, right.
