My mother and I went to the store on Saturday, and we were inside when a big but fast-moving electrical storm passed through. We thought we'd been lucky, as the sun returned when we stepped outside, but when we got home, we found that the power had been knocked out an hour earlier. It took another hour for it come on!
I tried to get into my Internet account this morning to check my e-mail and I was denied access. It turns out someone had stolen my password by sending me spam, which I foolishly opened thinking it had been from someone I knew. The unknown sender then used my password to send 997 - yes, 997 - bulk e-mails in my name! I have since changed my password.
I also went to Home Depot today to buy some cedar mulch and the last bag of the stuff had a nasty tear. I got a ten percent discount for it; trouble was, I had to wait for the head cashier to come and approve it! How much was my discount? About eighteen cents. Oh well, at least I got to hear Booker T. and the M.G.s's "Green Onion" on the piped-in music system.
A bird defecated on my T-shirt while I was mowing my lawn. Good thing it was an ordinary white undershirt!
I don't even want to discuss the other Internet snafu I had to deal with . . ..
