I'm watching Dub the Shrub's State of the Union speech as I write this. How can I concentrate on what I'm writing while watching his speech? Simple - everything W is saying is a bunch of superficial, smarmy platitudes that add up to less than nothing. So you can completely ignore him for a spell and not miss a thing!
I saw a report on the Jim Lehrer News Hour earlier tonight about how Karl Rove influences W and guides his administration. It's kind of scary to find out that the real power behind the throne is not Dick Cheney - who is insufferable enough - but a smug, self-satisfied puppetmaster who dropped out of college to involve himself in right-wing Republican politics. What's really frightening is that Rove is the smart one, yet it's W who has the college degree!
I think I'm going to be sick . . ..
