Imma Let You Finish . . .

Laura Cooper, the top official in the Defense Department overseeing U.S. policy toward Ukraine, was all set to testify to the House Intelligence Committee in a secured room about the efforts by Trump to have the Ukrainians dig up dirt on Joe Biden and his son when a couple dozen Hose Republicans not on the committee stormed the meeting and interrupted in the same way Kanye West interrupts acceptance speeches from Taylor Swift or Beck when they win awards he thinks BeyoncĂ© should have won.  The Republicans, who pulled similar stunts against the 2000 Florida recount to get Bush the Younger into the White House, caused a five-hour delay in the testimony in an attempt to derail it, but Cooper (below) testified before House impeachment investigators anyway.
This happened a day after diplomat Bill Taylor, who has served in Ukraine, testified that there was indeed a quid pro quo involved to get information on the Bidens before the Ukrainians could get weapons systems already approved by Congress.  It also happened a day after Donald Trump compared the impeachment process to "lynching" and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) concurred by saying that it was a form of "mob rule" comparable to lynching and calling both un-American.  You know what else is un-American?  Comparing an investigation into your dirty dealings to black people hanging from trees and being burned alive.
The Republicans who disrupted the hearing in a form of mob rule of their own said they did so to protest the closed-door nature of the hearings, which they said was an unfair process that should be open to the public - that is, everything the Benghazi investigation into Hillary Clinton was not.  Well, the impeachment inquiry is going to be out in the open soon.  And then House Republicans are going to regret it.
Oh yeah, Joe Biden is far ahead in the latest CNN national Democratic presidential preference poll.  It seems his efforts at fighting back against Trump are - dare I say it? - working.
