So North Korea says it exploded its first hydrogen bomb?
That's what their leader, Kim Jong Un, apparently claims. Hydrogen bombs are nothing new, of course, but what's new about this one is that it's . . . a North Korean hydrogen bomb. The word pairs "North Korean" and "hydrogen bomb" have struck fear in the hearts of the people of the world before, but never in one breath!
If North Korea does have the H-bomb, though, I'm sure Kim Jong Un will never use it. Why? Because that would be a stupid thing to do, and Kim Jong Un is not stupid. No one is his family is stupid. If the Kims aren't smart, how do you explain them being in power for sixty-eight years?
I'm not a nuclear expert or an expert in East Asian affairs. I didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. My assessment is purely speculative. But I think I'm right about this.
