Watching the Winter Olympics closing ceremony from Sochi, I saw how the choreography of dancers simulating the Olympic rings deliberately screwed up the top right ring as a parody of the screwed-up snowflake at the opening ceremony that was supposed to turn into an Olympic ring but did not. Okay, the Russians have a sense of humor. But this time, the fifth ring materialized.
Though, can someone please tell me why the Russians needed to build a stadium for the Winter Olympics, when all they used it for were the opening and closing ceremonies? :-O
And the Tonya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan documentary NBC showed before the closing ceremony may have been more entertaining than the ceremony itself. Ah, who am I kidding - of course it was!
All right, now I declare commentary on these Winter Games closed. I'm already looking forward to the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in 2018. :-)
