I wrote last week that Cumulus Radio was dumping Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity from its stations. Those early reports turned out to be premature (i.e., dead wrong); no final decision has apparently been made been made about either show, yet, but the chances of Cumulus dropping them are excellent.
I also said that Limbaugh was still going to be on the air due to a syndication contract. That contract began in in 1988 with EFM Media Management , a company that, through an acquisition and a merger, is now part of Clear Channel Communications. And, whatever happens with Cumulus, his syndication contract with Clear Channel actually expires in 2016, not 2017 as previously stated.
Unlike Rush, I regret my errors.
