Okay, so you're wondering with regard to my earlier post regarding "How I Met Your Mother" how Barney's bachelor party and his engagement to Robin got saved. Well, it's been two weeks and change since that episode, so if you haven't seen it, too bad; I'm spoiling it. Barney's friends - and Robin - deliberately set things up for everything to go wrong for Barney, and they arranged it so that he'd realize he'd been had at the end, which, of course, he thought was awesome. Really, you have to see it, if you already haven't, because I haven't filled you in on the details.
That out of the way, I would like to comment on this past Monday's season finale episode. Robin isn't so sure she wants to marry Barney; Ted is convinced that she's the prefect woman for him but that a relationship with her is impossible. He's seriously thinking of moving to Chicago to try his luck with women there. Marshall and Lily are ready to move to Italy for Lily's job as an art consultant . . . until Marshall accepts a judicial position after having applied for one a few months back. Except that he hasn't told Lily. Meanwhile, the future Mrs. Mosby has arrived to perform at Barney's and Robin's wedding (she's a musician). All we knew about her before was that she had a yellow umbrella. We know it's her this time, without seeing her face in the finale, because she's carrying that same umbrella. Then, the very last thing we see is her face. She talks to a railway ticket agent, requesting a ticket.
That's it . . . and that's all. We still don't know her name. We still don't know how everything else is even going to begin to turn out. All we know is that all will be revealed in the 2013-14 season . . . "How I Met Your Mother"'s last. And when it's gone this time next year, CBS will announce a twelfth season of "Two And a Half Men" for 2014-15. :-O
(Regarding the 2013-14 lineups on the four broadcast networks - I'll get to that later.)
