I don't have much to say about the three young women and the offspring of one of them who survived all that time in the captivity of a sex-crazed weirdo in Cleveland, though of course I'm glad they're out and physically unharmed. I will say this: People have to do more to stop sex offenders like Ariel Castro from getting away with the kind of stuff he did. I don't know what the neighbors in that section of Cleveland could have done or how more they could have done to stop him, but going forward, all communities need to look and see what they can do to prevent something like that from happening.

You know that old saying about threats to young girls - "Lock up your daughters?" We shouldn't have to lock up our daughters. We ought to lock up the scum that threatens our daughters.
