The 2012-13 season finale of NBC's "Parenthood" came a month sooner than the 2011-12 season finale did, its producers apparently sticking to the British or Matthew ("Mad Men") Weiner model of making only a few episodes at a time and leaving audiences wanting more. Some stories were resolved, such as Kristina becoming cancer-free, while the big question of whom Sarah would choose to be with - Mark or Hank - turned out to be moot. After telling Mark that she was going to pursue a future with Hank, Hank surprised Sarah by telling her he was moving to Minnesota to be closer to his daughter. He wanted her to come along. Right - Sarah ain't going nowhere!
Crosby and Jasmine have a baby on the way, and Julia and Joel have adopted Victor, Victor realizing that his adoptive mother does in fact love him. And Amy and Drew have parted the closest of platonically connected friends, each going to different colleges - Amy to Tufts in Boston, Drew to UC Berkeley in his own backyard. Amy was really happy to have met such a caring, gentle person like Drew. :-) She was really touched by his acceptance of responsibility in her pregnancy - which she chose to terminate. Please, would-be commentators, let's keep politics out of this.
And so "Parenthood" ends another season. Funny how it all works out. This show is like football, actually. Long before you get bored with fed up with it, it has a grand finish by January or February, and its fans eagerly await its return in September. :-D
