Palin Drone

My mother and I are not only geting sick of seeing noted book-banning wolf killer Sarah Palin all over the place, we're getting tired of hearing her. Her voice is so annoyingly buzzing and psuedo-perky, she almost sounds like Edie McClurg's evil twin. We'd better get used to it; the Alaska governor is a hot commodity on the right-wing speaking circuit, and she's even campaigning for Saxby Chambliss in the Georgia U.S. Senate runoff.
Meanwhile, it's time to say goodbye to Ted Stevens, whose illegal gifts and free work on his house have gotten him out of the Senate and possibly in jail. Having lost his seat to Anchorage mayor Mark Begich, he said goodbye to his fellow senators and got a standing ovation . . . a display of mindless insider smugness that broke the Senate's own rules against such displays of adulation.
He can't get out of Washington fast enough.
