2008: Election Endorsements

Okay, it's that time of year again, where I make my election endorsements:
For President of the United States: This blog endorses Barack Obama unreservedly and wholeheartedly. Obama has shown that he has the intelligence and the temperament to be our forty-fourth President. John McCain has been divisive in his campaign, he's been erratic in his policy proposals, and he chose the evil Sarah Palin to be his Veep! We absolutely need Obama (and Joseph Biden for Vice President) with everything at stake.
For U.S. Senate, New Jersey: This blog endorses Frank Lautenberg, the incumbent. Lautenberg has nearly a quarter century of accomplishments in Washington, and with the Democrats poised to increase their control of the Senate, New Jersey needs a veteran like Lautenberg in the Democratic caucus.
For U.S. House, New Jersey, Eleventh District: This blog endorses Tom Wyka. The incumbent, Rodney Frelinghuysen, is a good man who's done a lot for my district, but he's been there too long and, yes, he's a Republican. Wyka all the way.
For U.S. Senate, North Carolina: This blog endorses Kay Hagan, as Elizabeth Hanford Dole has been in Washington longer than Bush has and hasn't returned to North Carolina enough.
For U.S. Senate, Minnesota: This blog endorses Al Franken, because God knows Washington needs a good laugh.
I would generally suggest voting a straight Democratic ticket this year.
