That's it. There can be no other word for it: Obamania. :-)
Barack Obama won so convincingly in the Iowa caucuses on Thursday that his campaign has caught on like wildfire in New Hampshire. As I type, a Maris poll shows him ahead of Hillary Clinton in the Granite State by eight points. He draws enthusiastic crowds all over the state, just as he'd done in Iowa. Mrs. Clinton is at such a loss for what to do that her advisers and pollsters are arguing with each other, as well as with the candidate, leaving the supporters caught in the middle.
Meanwhile, a report is out of France that President Nicolas Sarkozy plans to marry model-turned-singer (and former girlfriend of Mick Jagger) Carla Bruni next month, after only a few weeks of a highly publicized courtship between the two - and only three months after Sarkozy divorced his second wife Cécilia.
Damn! :-D
So France will get a hot First Lady, and we're still stuck with Laura Bush. :-O
