'Cause If You Really Want To Hear Our Views . . .

Both George W. Bush and his father joined Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Maya Angelou, and others in saying goodbye to Coretta Scott King. The eulogies at the funeral were largely nonpartisan, though hearing Bush fils salute Mrs. King was like hearing Pat Buchanan quote the Talmud. But then the Reverend Joseph Lowery, a King family friend and fellow civil rights leader, drew a huge ovation from the crowd in the large church when he offered up a rhyme-verse eulogy that bitterly attacked the current Bush administration for its domestic and foreign policies and paraphrased a line from Stevie Wonder - "For war, billions more, but no more for the poor." :-D Both Bushes were shown shaking their heads in dismay.
As you can tell from my reaction to the younger Bush's speech, I'm sick and tired of hearing his song. You wanna hear my view? He hasn't done nothin'! (Oh ho ho, do do wop!)
