Bin Laden Doesn't Get It

Osama bin Laden came out with another audio tape for the first time in over a year, in which he promised fresh attacks on American soil but also seemed to offer a truce to the United States to allow the successful rebuilding of Iraq and Afghanistan. Bin Laden, it seems, is capitalizing on the increasing weariness the American people have with prosecuting a war in Iraq. The White House, of course, has refused to take this tape seriously, whether it's authentic or not. No one else will. As Jon Stewart recently said, what bin Laden doesn't get is that Americans are tried of the war against Iraqi insurgents - not the war against bin Laden!
