Rich People In Space

Richard Branson achieved suborbital ascent into space?  Oh, be still my beating pancreas!

So why should I care if someone with lots of money, someone with enough dough to have taken the Concorde the way poor people ride the bus (though I don't think Virgin Airways ever had a Concorde), can take a flight into space?  I can't even afford the airfare to go to Paris - hell, these days I can't even afford to go to the next state!

To think, that money could have been used to fight poverty create jobs, provide safe drinking water for Third World countries, or . . . oh, I don't know, buy COVID vaccines for those same Third World countries . . .
