Seeing as U.S, Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is a pugnacious sort of fellow who walks around with a sense of entitlement and an obvious superiority complex without any obvious superiority, how could he not be guilty of sex trafficking?
I can't comment on the particulars of this case, as it is too sordid and constantly changing, but Gaetz seems like the type would start a sexual relationship with a minor and then pay her to come along with him across state lines. Certainly William Barr though so, as does the Justice Department under Barr's leadership began the investigation into Gaetz that Attorney General Merrick Garland is now continuing, Gaetz has denied the charges, but the man doth protest too much. Especially when he tried to get Trump to issue a blanket person for himself and other Trump supporters for crimes and offenses that may have been committed before Trump left office. Even as Gaetz insisted that Trump would get a second term because Biden stole the election.
Barr likely began the investigation to ensure that Trump could easily dissociate himself from Gaetz, but even in his post-"Presidency," Trump doesn't seem to want to do that. He seems to be happy to stick with Gaetz to the bitter end. And that's the sort of end both of them will be facing. Very soon.
It's hard to believe that Gaetz occupies the same House seat once held by Joe Scarborough.
