Crisis? What Crisis?

The media call the surge of migrants to the Mexican border a crisis.  Something that happens regularly every year is not a crisis, except for maybe hurricane season.  Migrants come from Central America every winter and early spring because that's when the weather is most favorable for migrating up to the Rio Grande.

President Biden has made it clear that people should come legally and not try to cross the border illegally, just like Donald Trump. Except that Biden wants to facilitate legal entry into the country, while Trump wanted to build a wall.

And when children manage to get into Texas and get into a temporary immigration processing facility like the one above, with little more than a phone number for a family member already living in the U.S., Biden doesn't turn them away.  He actually tries to help them and get them to safety.

Why he does not get plaudits for his humanity by the same press calling this migration wave a crisis remains unexplained.

Many of these migrants are feeling the destruction in Central America caused by hurricanes.  Which brings me back to how hurricane season, fueled by climate change, is becoming an annual crisis . . .
